The Schmidt family's commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a high priority. Dr. Schmidt and Alicia have served on the CF Board for the past 20 years. In 2009 they were honored by being chosen presidents of the annual Breath of Life Gala, which raises funds for research and development. Each December friends, family members, and our office team volunteer and participate in the Cystic Fibrosis Stair Climb, which includes 56 floors. These events have raised millions of dollars for research and development resulting in numberous therapies for people with cystic fibrosis.
