The Schmidt family's commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation continues to be a high priority. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Schmidt and Alicia have served on the CF Board in numerous positions. In 1997 they were honored as Chairpersons of the annual Breath of Life Gala, which raises funds for research and development.
